After the Abnos auction ended, the Star published a list of the winning bidders:
https://www.kansascity.com/news/busines ... 82385.html

However, some of the sales have now closed and the ownership records are available and I'm noticing some discrepancies. It looks like Troost Opportunity LLC in fact purchased most of the properties. The Star attributes the LLC to Daniel Weindling, which would make these Terra Management properties.

Terra has been expanding their holdings on Troost. I'm pretty sure they own the building with the rebuild facade pictured above (I think they did a nice job rebuilding it, but I wonder how much they were a factor in letting the original facade reach the point of collapse). They also redeveloped the old Troostwood Garage building, which looks nice. They have purchased the old Apollo Theater, which seems like it has been pretty dormant.

I'm a bit surprised Mac Properties didn't end up buying the old Marquette Club building. I hope Terra can pull off something nice with it. It would probably be their most ambitious project to date.

I agree KCtoBrooklyn about MAC not buying the Marquette Club. One would think MAC would want to control what happens next to their parcel, and not let it sit there rotting for who knows how long. If MAC can buy additional apt. buildings east on Armour and get control of parcels south of their building on the SE corner of Armour and Troost so they can build more apartment buildings, they might have enough residents to justify turning the Marquette Club into an amenities center and event venue.

Been living for a month now on Troost and the noise is a major concern. Also, Mac has had to install surveillance cameras and hire full-time rent-a-cops to patrol.

And with Kansas City Missouri quickly turning into a failed state I’m wondering if Mac should consider plans to stand-up their own in-house security forces, similar to what Hy-Vee and Quiktrip have done, to protect their residents.

Based on the article below, it’s pretty clear the KCMO police can’t/won’t do anything to protect their citizens 😢

I’d also like to see Mac build a walled and gated public park for Mac residents only so they have some secure green space to enjoy.

Plenty of park adjacent to MAC. Hyde Park a block south of Armour, Harrison Parkway greenway 3 blocks south.
