Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
They just recently started accepting priority pass at their clubs. A few still don’t but most do. I have seen mixed messages on if a PP holder can bring guests though like at other clubs

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
It seems to almost be dependent of the airport and lounge. I’ve never had a problem bringing guests in for any I’ve visited with my PP, but I also have checked the app beforehand to ensure.
I can’t recall seeing any that have no guests allowed, but I definitely have heard of it happening so they do exist

PP doesn’t list a guest on all of the escape lounges, like it does for most others. I saw an article that said you wouldn’t be able to bring guests to escape lounges with PP.. but then I saw one of them listed with guests allowed on PP. So I guess we will see what happens when I finally get to one.

I was just in CVG and tried to check out their escape lounge because I knew we were getting one. I think my first apartment was bigger. The PP lounge wasn't much better. I'd rather not even have them if they were that size. I feel like neither were 1000sf.

I believe the KC lounge space is flexible between 4,000 and 8,000 SFKCPowercat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 6:24 pm I was just in CVG and tried to check out their escape lounge because I knew we were getting one. Does the Escape Lounge serve Piña Coladas and champagne? Need to know before I invest in a membership.

And I'd probably end up on some list for sneaking in after closing time and making love on a pile of sand I also snuck in.

Update. I emailed one and asked. They said they allow one guest with PPdev49 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 5:53 pmAnthony_Hugo98 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 5:12 pmIt seems to almost be dependent of the airport and lounge. The Airport will build new high speed on/offs to Runway 1L and upgrade adjacent taxi ways over the next two years. The project will support more efficient operations on what is now the airport’s busiest runway.

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
Any talks of extending 1R/19L to match the length? Would make some sense to eventually have two N/S oriented Runways of equivalent lengths as we continue growing operations.

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
All 3 runways are plenty long enough for the traffic MCI sees. A 4th runway is far off with # of aircraft operations steady or having decreased over time (we are seeing bigger airplanes, not necessarily more of them).Anthony_Hugo98 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 10:55 amAny talks of extending 1R/19L to match the length? I heard the Nick Cave art installation was removed from the headhouse? Anyone know what's going on?

One can only hope. That room looked 10x better before it was installed.Midtownkid wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 6:21 pm I heard the Nick Cave art installation was removed from the headhouse? Anyone know what's going on?

An article about Nick Cave linked below. He is considered a major modern US artist, although the white-hot acquisition phase of his Soundsuits has subsided. He attended the KCAI and is a native of Missouri.

Cave won the readers poll for favorite installation. I like them, especially when the sun hits them right. Much better than the flying saxophones.dnweava wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 7:16 pmOne can only hope.
