Nope it's not. Thursday day game in April after 5 horrible seasons. It's a respectable number. Rangers drew 19,726 today and they are the reigning champs.

If the Royals play well against the Mets and White Sox (next 6 games), the stands better be more full for the home stand against the Orioles.
You don't know our pain as Royals fans. We are bitter fucks and will not believe they're winners until after the All Star break.

This. We started 24-7 a few years ago and lost 90 games (approximately pedants). I bet it picks up after Memorial Day if we keep this pace.

but I'm sure a Cowboys game during a weekday afternoon would sell out, so would a Chiefs game

Of course. Eight home games a year compared to eighty.
Want to compare overall attendance between MLB and NFL? Hint: it's not close. Royals in their worst year draw twice as many as the Chiefs in their best.
a 20K MLB baseball stadium would be a bit light. However I think about 30-35K would be a good sweet spot of the Royals and teams in similar markets. But no reason for KC to be 40K.
Royals are now first in the AL Central and 2nd in the entire American League behind the Yankees. It’s early, I know. But not a bad start to the season.
Their winning streak was broken yesterday, but they got a win today. Currently 10 wins-5 losses.

They also have the best run differential in the majors at +38, which is very encouraging.

I'd be happy to make it out of April without being in a huge hole and essentially out of contention. Getting out of May in the same shape would be wonderful.

I'd like to be able to actually vote in good faith for a Royal for the ASG without having to acknowledge my own fan bias.
