The "WE ARE" font is horrible. The first rule of typeface in graphic design is it should be easily-read.

It reminds me of when I reviewed an ad during the heart of covid and it involved a bunch of people drinking wine around a table. I was speechless.
I don't get how this got through.
I hate the tm placement. That's not required by law. There are plenty of ways to show you own that. Ughhh

"We have millions of people coming to America for the World Cup, many of which don't speak or read English. So, I know, let's make the branding in English and in a font that even Americans can barely read!!"

I haven't seen, what's the Spanish and french branding look like? I assume just as bad?

Okay I think it looks even worse than English because they're breaking up a single word. I'd search for French but I'd probably cry. The font is still terrible as well.

United States picked to host 2025 Club World Cup

No host cities announced yet but this would be a great add to us getting the World Cup the following year. Would be the best club teams from around the world. A great dress rehearsal for the country competition.

KCATA board meeting notes:
The We Are Kansas City 26 Committee held multiple engagements sessions in June. Chuck and Tyler attended one of the larger gatherings at Children’s Mercy Park in KCK. Highlights included: ▪ Kansas City is poised to capture 6-9 matches, the previous estimate was 5-7 prior to the
FIFA format changes which added additional teams and a new round of play.
▪ The KC region could have more than one Base Camp based on the high quality of practice
and training facilities in the region.
▪ Locally focused transportation would focus on
• KCI to points of priority (downtown, Johnson County, Arrowhead)
• Base Camps to entertainment areas, restaurants, shopping (many fans of clubs
take a month of vacation and live near their team)
• Match day movements to Arrowhead

I'm very excited about this with the violent crime and overall poor leadership of the city were going to fall on our faces in a bunch of people from all over the world.

CONCACAF president and FIFA vice president Victor Montagliani has said that they hope to announce the host cities for the 2024 Copa America this fall and will start the process of selecting venues in earnest after this summer’s Gold Cup.beautyfromashes wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 4:38 pm When will Copa America host cities be decided for 2024?

I imagine outside of the big cities that will get both, a lot of markets will either get Copa America games in 2024 or revamped Club World Cup games in 2025. Two different tournaments to really see where we're headed in 2026, can improve on those events.

I imagine the shiny new stadiums have a solid chance of beating out our old little WyCo parking lot stadiumTheSmokinPun wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 10:06 am I imagine outside of the big cities that will get both, a lot of markets will either get Copa America games in 2024 or revamped Club World Cup games in 2025. Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?
Both the Copa América and Club World Cup are higher-profile events than the CONCACAF Gold Cup is. The 2016 Copa América was also held in the US and used large-capacity venues then as well.
