The rumored Maintenance base is my hope. Would be great to get jobs and see some widebodies.
I don’t really know what routes they could add. Bahamas? Europe via SAS, Lufthansa, etc? United I would say is the worst of the big US airlines so I really hope we get routes on Delta instead

LAX is really the only other hub but I feel like we already have plenty on LAX so I am not sure they have much slack to pick up there.
I still hope it’s a common access club. With Southwest being the biggest airline it makes the most sense

I was wondering the same thing, I am not sure what else they could add other than LAX. I suppose they could do a few Saturday only runs to leisure destinations but anything else would be a risk imo

JetBlue has cut Boston in September and October.
JFK is scheduled on an A320 though
Damn. Loved that route.
To be fair though, I flew if 4 times (two round trips) and it was only reasonably full once.
I loved that route also, and it kept fares to boston super cheap. The timing was actually kind of nice for a quick getaway, you could leaving thurs or friday in the evening and get back sunday or mon morning. The flight still looks bookable in November and beyond
I think we can officially rule out a flight to AMS. Airlines lost their appeal and mandated cuts are coming.
The decision from the Amsterdam Court of Appeals on Friday allows the government of the Netherlands to move forward with plans to reduce aircraft movements at Schiphol airport to 460,000 annually from the current cap of 500,000, and eventually to 440,000 a year. Implementation could come as soon as the Summer 2024 season

Raleigh getting Air France to Paris. Not one I saw coming. They already have Delta on the route, so if this is Air France taking over the route it in theory frees up a delta widebody plane.

It’s announced Delta is dropping the route.
Delta operated 767, 4-7 times weekly. Air France will be 3x weekly to start

I wonder why the switch. I do know AF and Delta are partners. This means Cincinnati will be the only non-Delta hub with a nonstop CDG route, unless additional routes are announced. I wonder if AF is implementing a similar strategy to BA and adding direct routes to more non-hub/second tier US cities.
