Delta added a second frequency between MCI and LAX, beginning in September.

Also appears that AA added a second frequency between MCI and MIA, starting in late August.

Love seeing more delta. Keep it coming

I would doubt it unless it’s LGA. All other airports we have flights to have plenty of nonstops to LAX.

I believe pre-pandemic, DL was running 2/X daily. I do think this opens up the door for more to connect in LA to other destinations (Hawaii, etc) but there is plenty of O/D demand as well. I also noticed that WN is increasing frequency to 3X daily starting in October as well. That combined with NK and you will have 6 dailies to LA and 1 daily to Long Beach. Q3 O/D data shows roughly 26 pax connecting elsewhere on average from LAX.

It looks to be 221 people per day

It's interesting, 81k flew the route between KC and st Louis and 295k total flew that route with connections elsewhere

Why doesn't delta have a direct to Chicago? I know it's not a hub but it's one of the few places I have to go that I never go Delta.

Delta can’t compete on price or service vs. airlines with hubs in Chicago.

None of the big 3 fly point to point from KCI other than limited carribean. Delta announced they would like to

United, American & to an extent Southwest all have hubs or something like that. United and American don't go to MSP, DTW, ATL, SLC, etc. for the same reason that Delta doesn't go to their hubs. Why should they?
