That's a hell of a lot better of a plan than that proposal in Edwardsville or wherever off the 110th exit.

This was proposed at the same exit IIRC. Crazy to me how much bigger of an investment Hard Rock once planned and as you said actually something nice

No denying there is interest. You wouldn’t have gotten as far as they did without it. But interest & actual capital ability to do something are vastly different. My guess is with KS having legal wagering would allow for all forms of wagering within the “casino arsenal”. This may attract someone who wants partner with the Hard Rock brand to pull it off. But I would give it the slimmest of chances no that it has died on the vine.
