Thanks for this gem. Starting with the view of Signboard hill, the Scout not on a pedestal, 14th and Truman Rd before the freeway trench, Bug Bunny on the Plaza. Excelsior Springs bustling; with the "healing" waters, why could not this become a New Age spa?

The narrator kind of dissed President Truman for his yard, and also made some negative remarks about Excelsior Springs.

A lot of urban KC was destroyed by interstates shortly thereafter but the skyline has at least vastly improved. We didn't have much of a skyline in 1954. A lot of gaps between the taller buildings.
