Lighting up KC's skyscrapers
Re: Lighting up KC's skyscrapers
It gets out of hand with the requests. “Can you turn the lights downtown to yellowish green for national ingrown toenail day?”

Re: Lighting up KC's skyscrapers
That's exactly it: If the overall voluntary theme is yellowish green, I want to be able to know it's in honor of national ingrown toenail day.
I'm sure the downtown council gets no shortage of weird requests. I just wish they would make the requests (or approved requests, however that works) public somehow.

It's a easy solution. Have the person sending the requests to the property owners send a tweet

Re: Lighting up KC's skyscrapers
Downtown KC buildings need way more lights from the north. Coming from the airport at night, there’s the little bit at the top of One KC Place and then just about nothing.
Re: Lighting up KC's skyscrapers
Kudos to the downtown lighting coordinator. The new BCBS/Waddell and Reed illuminated interior and exterior, and for the first time in modern history, the crown of the Jax Co courthouse in kinetic illumination. Loew's needs to do something with lighting, especially given its prominence.

Still need a social account describing the colors when coordinated
Re: Lighting up KC's skyscrapers
This is awesome. It looks like the not only added lighting to the county courthouse, but redid the lighting on City Hall? Looks great.

yaeh JaxCo was pretty recent, just noticed them this fall for the first time.
Re: Lighting up KC's skyscrapers
This should come from the downtown council as they're the ones who typically send out advisories asking downtown partners to coordinate.KCPowercat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 8:30 am Still need a social account describing the colors when coordinated

Re: Lighting up KC's skyscrapers
I have asked the downtown council about this multiple times and have gotten nowhere. Any kind of social media account for daily updates would be great.
