MLK Jr. BLVD Rapid Transit

Post by normalthings »

KCMO/KCATA to study fast & frequent on this corridor.
DISCUSSION KCATA, in partnership with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, is beginning a consultant led examination of potential fast and frequent transit and related mobility improvements along the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Corridor. This study was requested by the City of Kansas City, Missouri to run in parallel with the East West Transit Study that is currently on going. The MLK Jr. Corridor is different from the East West Transit Study corridor and the decision was made to keep these as two studies separate, but coordinated activities.
This process for the MLK Jr. corridor will be more technical in nature in order to begin the process of identifying East West connection strategies along this crucial boulevard through our region. This project is projected to be completed in the 1st quarter of 2023

Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Corridor.

Found my answer. Result was: will not qualify for a federal match for MAX or Streetcar.
