I tend to the think the early open rumors are a bit unrealistic and have not heard the same from real sources. To the average worker it can seem like things are almost done but there is a lot left to do.

In the few projects I've worked on that were ahead of schedule, we have always used the extra time to refine and verify operations rather than open early. Any failures after opening will destroy any PR boost you get from the early opening.

Yeah doesn't make a lot of sense to open early.

I guess the ‘B’ Economy lot will be closing for good.

Suppose that’ll be interesting. Like when they emptied the garage at A and found like 20-30 abandoned cars

They just resurfaced C which I thought was weird but probably be using it for awhile until any new economy lot is built (hopefully with APM).

Could be they want to use B for the "new" economy attached to an APM? That lot would be most in line with the terminal to rRCF.

I suppose they had to start consolidating eventually. Will probably take a month or so to clear the lot. Get it done before winter weather makes enough sense.

Sure it’s just part of the schedule.

C&A are contiguous lots. You can just rename it all to "economy parking" and run a bus to the single big lot.

Didn’t notice until you pointed that out. That is wildly infuriating

Are those power/charging outlets under seats? Hard to tell.

Yes, every seat pair has outlets throughout the entire terminal.

I wonder if they'll just have one entrance, maybe make the current entrance to C an exit-only. You can see on Google Maps how they've combined the two lots in the areas they've repaved over the last couple of years.

Still, whether it's one lot or two, I hope they run more buses. Would it be possible to add some option to request a bus at stops so the drivers know where people are waiting, and maybe add a real-time arrival screen so you know if it'll be there in 5 minutes or 15? Or maybe none of that's practical, I don't know.

Still a head-scratcher to me as to why they didn't build the new terminal between the rental car lot and terminal C (tear down C instead of A). Would have made APM construction more linear. Smart people working on this so I'm sure there was a good reason.

VanHoy and the original study set the stage for where a new terminal would go. Agree that would have been the better location but it was determined before the election even happened.
