Love it. Too bad Certain someone keeps flip flopping on this.
STL has almost 500 5 star rooms charging 50-100% more than Hotel Bravo proposes. KC can probably support 250-350 5 star rooms. Could be room for another at the riverfront or Freight House. Market is completely untested in KC which makes it impossible to finance without incentives. Like One Light, I expect this project to do well and along with Loews launch a wave of 4-5 star hotels.
Having a 5 star hotel next to our convention center will set us apart from some of our direct regional peers, including STL. This is also a quick walk or uber ride to speculative office developments at 1400 Baltimore, 13 Main, and 13 Grand.

Having a 5-star hotel in Greater Downtown will also help with luring corporate headquarters back, and retaining ones that still remain.
I thought it was Class A spec office space and a new terminal. Does someone have the full list? /s
Five-star would likely help with talent performing at various venues. Top stars need things like concierge service, butlers, in-house dry cleaner/tailors, in-house hair salon and spa, 24-hour room service, a highly-rated restaurant in the hotel, etc. The rooms would be very upscale and have things like larger bathtubs with massage instead of just a regular bathtub. The rooms would have more upscale furniture and artwork.
If we were to get a political convention, a 5-star hotel would be key next to the convention center and TMobile Arena for top politicians, consultants, and media personalities that would be in town for a week. Some of these hotels need to be configured so that certain floors can be locked down easily, and not accessible to other guests, for security reasons. They might even be designed so there can be a small ballroom that can quickly be converted to a media center for press conferences.

Yes, PAC wants Hotel Bravo so that they have a place for top tier acts to stay and so that they can meet that requirement. I understand that Loews also supports this project for the reason of bringing in bigger/better events.
IMO, one of the design flaws of TMobile Arena is that they didn't plan for a high-end hotel to be attached to it. In our current high-security environment, a political convention with a sitting president would likely want a hotel to be next to the arena--or attached --where the convention is being held. This would eliminate the Secret Service having to drive the president a short distance to the arena. The ideal situation would be a 5-star hotel that is attached via a tunnel or enclosed pedestrian bridge.

We looked at one of these elsewhere.
Pro: syngeries you mentioned above
Con: really need to be able to build it all at once, questionable that the hotel stays when the arena gets demoed in 30 years.
It could be attached with a gerbil tube like Crown Center is to Union Station. If they could get the MO Court of Appeals to move, a hotel there would work. I guess you wouldn't even need the tube as long as they could cordon off an area between a hotel back door and that entrance to the arena facing Oak.
With that type of configuration, if the arena was torn down, the hotel could remain.

Is Bravo supposed to be 5-star?
I like your enthusiasm but a little research before posting would make things more efficient. Yes is the answer
Uh, actually I did. I skimmed through the whole thread tonight and it was just jumbled comments with nobody giving a clear answer on if/when it will get built and what exactly the hotel even was, and Dave complaining about the incentives. That's the reason I've been asking so many questions in this thread tonight.

Given all the empty surface lots around the Arena, why not just build one right there and attach it?

Clearly the owners of those properties don't want to build a hotel.
What makes this hotel 5 star? The tendering sure doesn’t look anything special. Of course, it could change dramatically once we learn the flag, but that’s kind of why I’m asking. Seems they’ve done a terrible job promoting approval for this project. Should be a no until more is given on what we are getting.
