I am really liking this new trend of trend of small batch/craft bbq places. It's actually my preference for bbq now cause the brisket is more Texas style with the fat in tact and u don't really need sauce(not a fan of lean brisket) and the sides are top notch/unique and change from time to time.
Some of the ones I have tried
Harp BBQ outside of Crane Brewing
Chef J in the West Bottoms
Fox and Fire outside of Callsign Brewery in NKC
Still need to try
Jousting Pigs (Liberty)
Night Goat (At Fox and Pearl)
Scotts Kitchen (Airport)

Re: Craft/Small Batch BBQ
Scotts Kitchen is fantastic. He had been doing a great business with all the airport hotels and employees up in that area. Hope he can survive COVID. Think he would do great in an urban location too

I found Scott's to be good, but a bit more of a drive than I'd have liked with so much damn good bbq closer. Great choice if you live closer, though.
