Arkansas 2019 Part 2
This barrel can’t make up its mind what to hold.
This cart has it figured out.
Looking for food so soon.
I like Mahomes, too.
Where are we?
Ladies from the past.
Typical street in Silver Dollar City.
Which way should we go?
I wonder who lives here.
Pretty flower in a tree.
Lavender blue, dilly dilly.
Where's the kitchen?

Re: Arkansas 2019 Part 2
In case you haven’t noticed, I have not posted any pictures for a while. I had surgery on my right wrist, and I haven’t been able to do much. Then I got way behind. I will ignore all the groans and continue.
We are continuing to stroll around Silver Dollar City, looking at old buildings like this one.
This is a tall one.
We got to go into this one.
A shot from the other side.
Had to do something to get the portrait-oriented image into a landscape. It took a while to clip away.
Cluck cluck squawk!
Time for school!
This lady used to be a real teacher.
One side of the school room.
The other side.
One of many stores.
We’re in an ice cream parlor, I think.

Always climbing.
Not sure what this building is for.
Many streets to trek.
Armed services are honored on this box.
Watching candy being made is always fun.
That’s a big pan of fudge.
Testing the strands.
And it is fun to watch glass being made.
Some of the results, which may be purchased.
Saw mill? Maybe not used as such today.
Pay no attention.
My husband didn’t put his face all the way through the hole, so I had to distort it to force it in. I lightened my face and dress.

Re: Arkansas 2019 Part 2
Who is hungry? Or thirsty?
Again. Must be close to mealtime.
We’re waiting for the real train. This is just a model, across from the station.
We’re on the train now. I’m snapping pictures of whatever is below the trestle.
Rollercoaster dumping ground.
Leaning out of the window to catch the side of the train, trying to avoid getting slapped by a tree.
Waiting for the show to start.
Still waiting...
It’s shew time!
He wanted money during the train robbery, but I took his picture instead.
The portrait-oriented image is on the left. I pieced together portions of it to fill in the right side.
I call this little one a baby lion. Isn’t he cute?

If you have ever been on the Flooded Mine ride, you might remember this scene.
Ka-boom!
Come to this face-painting booth if you want to look like a cat.
Everybody wanted to touch this water-fountain ball.
Perhaps a mom/kid discussion at the Exposition sign.
Waiting for passengers, no doubt.
Black-eyed Susans making a show.
Baby roller coaster.
Flying elephants like blue skies. So do I.
In case you like to get sick...
Big family.
Even bigger.

Re: Arkansas 2019 Part 2
Make it happen.
This woman finally figured out why she was invited to visit Sliver Dollar City with her children and grandchildren.
Do you have a lapel?
Too many to count.
So where are the crates?
They have a place in the sun.
Can’t hold any more.
He looks like a criminal, but he is not a criminal.
It will be a LONG wait.
So, Kansas is 102 miles from this spot. As the crow flies?
If you have to fill a bucket...
As if in flight.

Re: Arkansas 2019 Part 2
i mean, thats basically what forest park with the missouri history museum, zoo, art museum, worlds fair pavilion, etc etc etc is. that is all legacy stuff (or was invested in in anticipation or as a result of) from the worlds fair.
in any case, forest park highlands used to be exactly what you are talking about, and if i recall six flags has or used to have a worlds fair theme? its been a while since ive been.

Re: Arkansas 2019 Part 2
Even the sides of buildings in Silver Dollar City are charming.
Window box overflows.
Bucket of flowers.
Where’s Rin?
He is not so big after all.
Took a few pictures in the gift store while waiting for my son to emerge from Marvel Cave.
His return train has finally arrived!
Almost Christmassy.
Hiding in the bucket.
Wall mural caught on the way out.
How could we resist the temptation?
Good place to visit. We did that years ago.
