Are the For Sale signs still up? There were 2 or 3 on there.

I've actually tried to make contact with the owners via the number on the For Sale signs several times over the past few months and have never been able to get a hold of anyone. Left voicemails, etc.

There's a post on the /r/kansascity reddit this morning that says the Seiden's Furs building has had a partial roof collapse.

Someone buy it before they tear it down. I'm surprised the majestic owner hasn't bought it but I think I remember hearing the owners were asking an unreasonable amount.

I'm not surprised. We have had a lot of rain this summer, and when you get days of heavy rain together it often leads to roof and building collapses.
The Seiden building owners may have missed their sell-by date and will be lucky to get a fraction of their asking price now.

It's certainly a building that should have been placed on their endangered list by now.

I know that the roof collapsed, but the exterior walls look strong enough and are intact. So, they could be reused.FangKC wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 8:39 pm It's certainly a building that should have been placed on their endangered list by now.

This isn't always the case for buildings where their roof collapses. Sometimes the exterior walls come down too. I know that's obvious to say, but if the owners would sell for cheap and get a developer willing to go through the mess, this could be rebuilt. Slim chance of that though.

Re: Seiden's Furs Appears to Be Closing
I've probably posted on here but always had a thought to renovate this building into a coffee shop and residences and add a roof deck. I fear it has a short future now.
