Sherman Williams is looking to build a new HQ/R&D facility for the firm. This comes after rapid expansion over the past few years and the need to bring the recently purchased Valspar operation under one roof.
Stats (Sources Vary):
1.6+ Million SF
3-5,000 jobs
$500million+ annual payroll.
Move Year: 2023

I hope to see KC send proposal in for this new HQ. The 2023 timeline gives us enough time to build a skyscraper or two for SW.

Re: Sherman Williams seeking new World HQ
They'll pretend to be looking for an HQ with the threat of moving so they can milk the most possible from the local incentive teat before settling on something in the Cleveland area, playing offers from desperate cities off each other until they feel they can't possibly squeeze any more blood out of Cleveland, then they'll stay there, although possibly in a nice new suburban office park conveniently close to where the execs live. Who's got $5 on it?

I agree but also think we need to be ready in case they are serious.mean wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 4:56 pm They'll pretend to be looking for an HQ with the threat of moving so they can milk the most possible from the local incentive teat before settling on something in the Cleveland area, playing offers from desperate cities off each other until they feel they can't possibly squeeze any more blood out of Cleveland, then they'll stay there, although possibly in a nice new suburban office park conveniently close to where the execs live. I would bet Dallas or Atlanta anyday over KC. I actually think Tax heavy Chicago would have a better chance than KC

I wouldn't exclude Charlotte from the running.

Isn't Sherman Mr. Peabody the dog's boy? Lets put the topic in the way back machine to come up with Sherwin.
