Quit your drivel. Next you’ll be talking about the St. Louis Steamers and “soccer USA” and how it’s the center of the soccer universe but are just now back peddling into an MLS team when the league has been around for decades. Enjoy your Expansion team.
the blues are an Expansion team i'll take it. :D

(just realized that the blues are older than the royals which is weird to think about)
Yep! The Blues (1967) are, indeed, older than the expansion Royals (1969). The Chiefs, however, are not an original. They relocated from Texas.

StL will will have 3 original franchises to KC's 1 after the MLS StL franchise begins play.

:P

Indeed. Of course, he wrote "KC", not "KCMO," then figured out he fucked up. Expat St Louis sports fans can't get anything right.

It's kind of a throwback to that edgy feel like this place used to have 10-15 years ago. :-)

Does anyone remember if Sporting KC had a parade when they won? If not I wonder why they didn't have one. I remember that game. They didn't even have a set up/party at the P&L or anything, that day was also a huge game for Mizzou in the SEC championship

They had a party/rally inside Union Station, but no parade.

I think after the frigid temps for that championship game, getting people to go outside for a parade in the middle of December might have been a tall ask.

Just caught a promo here in Tucson that they are in the semi finals. No excitement in KC?

Building lights changed for Sporting. Can’t really do anything for the games so it’s hard to get excited.

I'm excited for them. Fox has game tonight here in Tucson. Will be watching and rooting them on. What's the official chant usually yelled at the games?

I do feel like Covid has put a damper on the excitement around SKC - more so than the Chiefs. Maybe because a lot of the excitement for the games comes from attending them in person and the atmosphere at the stadium (at least that's the case for me). With 17% capacity (or whatever it is), it is not the same.

I also think the stop and start to the season, plus the weird bubble tourney in Orlando, didn't help. It almost feels like this season doesn't count.

I did just look for last minute tickets and SeatGeek only had four tickets left at $170 each.

I'm not sure about the "official chant", but there are many of them. You can google to find lists and recordings if you interested. Maybe the "official" one is the I Believe That We Will Win chant to start each game.

It's been tough on all sports this last year. I'll have to google the chant so I can drive the GF crazy tonight watching the game. Just thought there might be a popular one fans used like the chiefs chant when doing the tomahawk chop.
Must be a Kcrag user favorite.
Anyone? Help me out here....
Is there a common slogan?

Wow. Nice shot of KC in the pregame opening. Looking good all lit up. Announcers are trashing us. Looking for chant sent me down the rabbit hole. Found 33 if them. Most being left overs from Wizzard days. We need to come up with a good official chant here at the rag!

Go SKC Go. Make them eat there words.
