With the caveat that I think all these places are lame:

Bubba Gump
Benihana
Old Spaghetti Factory
Cheesecake Factory would be a get for downtown
Planet Hollywood is still a thing, but very limited locations now

ESPN Zone is only in Disney Land now. CBS has a sports bar in the Patriots NFL stadium, I don't know if they'll ever expand.
Agree. All lame.
All lame but all of them would drive a significant amount of traffic downtown.

So does Rockfest. Let's keep some standards here.

Does anyone know when the "Blade and Timber" (Ax throwing?) Grill is supposed to open?

I believe within the next few weeks. I think they’re taking their time because they’ll close down the WB location when this one opens.

Does anyone else find ax throwing really creepy?

Am I just old? Like everyone says Cordish is so selective about their tenants, and we get people throwing axes?

Seems little crazy but my social media is full of what I consider normal people having a blast.

That said I don't expect it to be open in 2022.

Normal people also think it's a good idea to post things on Twitter.

Conclusion: normal people are stupid.

I feel like you are subtweeting someone with that.

Twitter isn't normal?

It’s a good time and like a top golf, most people are willing to try it once. I didn’t like the west bottoms location because they didn’t serve alcohol, which I can only assume kept the amount of time people spent in the building down. It also felt a bit thrown together (no pun intended) and this new location will have a more thought out look. I think it will be around for sometime. Great for visitors looking for something to do and office/work get togethers. Not to mention the leagues. Not many league type options for us DT residents within walking distance.

It's a temporary fad that won't last long. Similar to the escape room craze that is already dying down. The only creepy part about it is serving alcohol and throwing axes. It just seems like a really bad combination to me.

I think the issue with Escape rooms is they're one and done. Until the owner changes the concept, once you "escape", the fun is over. These Axe throwing places in the states may be a recent trend, but it has been going strong for 13 years in Canada. Properly done, this place could be around for a long time, especially with the leagues. I mean, if there are men out there who actually go to "dart" leagues, I know there are men out there who would want to participate in the more manly and extreme version! Plus... BEER!

I think I would be more likely to have a panic attack or throw an axe at my foot accidentally than to have fun at one of these places.

But I get anxious when people ask me to play foosball so I'm probably not the target market. If people enjoy it, so be it.

Something tells me if an escape room went into this space versus axe throwing some posts would sound different

Just as we've come to the conclusion that large planters on narrow sidewalks are :(, the sidewalk in front of One KC Place was just replaced with...
