Didn't notice a tower crane base but only saw the site from this vantage point

Drove by today and there is definitely a tower crane base in place.
EDIT: Speaking of tower cranes, there could be quite a few up by this time next year... REVERB, City Club, Three Light, Tracks 215, Hyatt House, Artistry KC, Hotel Bravo, Office project adjacent to Barney Allis Plaza, Strata, 3rd & Delaware Office, Cambria Hotel...

Has anyone kept track of the number of tower cranes owned locally? I assume the number is starting to go up with all the DT activity the last several years. They cost so much that the number is likely the best indicator of activity DT for the next several years.KCDowntown wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 3:51 pm Speaking of tower cranes, there could be quite a few up by this time next year... Thanks! That’s pretty cool. A little out of date, but still gives good information.

Reverbs crane should be down before August 2020. I’m not sure about City Club.KCDowntown wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 3:51 pm Drove by today and there is definitely a tower crane base in place.

Tower crane base is in place.
Lower habitable floors will have concrete walls.

Re: OFFICIAL - City Club Apartments (former Midwest Hotel)
Are we thinking this will be stick frame on the upper floors on top of those 2 levels of concrete and steel framing? Or will the steel framing continue? I'm curious about the need for the crane.
EDIT: i guess it's a smaller crane here, like what they are using at RM West Phase 2

I know I've said this before but I am so bullish on downtown KC and this is my favorite project, hands down. CityClub will add 100s of new residents, ground floor retail, and it will help connect the developing parts of Xroads to the CBD, Crown Center, and beyond. You're talking about 1,000+ new residents downtown when you add Reverb, Arterra, and the Tracks project to this.

Yeah, this project could create a hotspot in Xroads, which the district needs. River Market has City Market along with Delaware brewing into a new hotspot. Xroads has a lot of interesting places but spread about. This project has enough critical mass to start an Xroads hotspot that can draw from the sporadic nearby developments to support it.

Same here, there's nothing I don't like about this project.grecobs wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 7:37 am I know I've said this before but I am so bullish on downtown KC and this is my favorite project, hands down. BTW City Club & Artistry KC will increase the population of the Crossroads by close to 50%.

My guess is that the steel will continue to rise in a few places. It doesn’t look like the northern steel section has connections for another steel level to be added.Critical_Mass wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 9:11 pm Are we thinking this will be stick frame on the upper floors on top of those 2 levels of concrete and steel framing? The new construction looks far better in the new renderings than previous ones. The colors in the original renderings always made it look too clashing.

Looks really nice, especially the exterior. The interiors are a little intense. So much going on!
