SOOOOO glad to see this project still alive!!! It should really pump some life into an otherwise dead part of the neighborhood.

I guess this proves we shouldn't panic when some projects go quiet for awhile. There have been three that I can think of that seemed to have extended lag-time, then sprang back to life: this one, the West Bottoms warehouse conversion, and the old Federal Reserve building.

Maybe the East Village, and 911 Linwood, will come back to life.

Don't see any connection with the MGE project (no" stump") and UMB at Petticoat Lane or the garage at the old M

They were just talking about long dead projects coming back to life, and those are some of my most wanted. I will admit it's off topic, though

Looks like an updated rendering.

I know the store names in these renderings are just place holders, but I think it is funny how it went from Subway, Great Clips, and Starbucks to Fable (a closed Crossroads boutique), Revolve KC, and Kaldi's.

A nice boost for Armour corridor retail, as well as Troost/Armour project.

And it's a short luxurious walk to Lamars Donuts, Burger King, and the Hookah Joint when the desire or impulse to mingle with the local folks suddenly hit's. LOL

Went by the MGE building today and there are two large dumpsters out back and a bunch of workers there, looks like this project is underway.

Talked to a contractor who has doubts about this project. He bid several years ago on doing the windows on this and bid was rejected. Said since then the cost is 40% more.

Construction fences up at MGE building and a new sign as well. Says phase one will be done in spring of 2020.

DLS Tire at 3744 Broadway is closing (or closed). Friends of mine who have a neighboring business inquired about buying it - apparently the property was snatched up as soon as it was listed.

I hope my dream of the Plasma Center closing will come true one of these days. If the Plasma Center is gone that Section of Broadway transforms overnight and a lot of the crime goes away
