I can't only see two from my ground-floor window.

Floor 17 looks like it's in. At roughly 70% final height on the room tower.

Now appearing south of Truman Road: the apocryphal "twin" tower of the Power & Light building as a shimmering reflection.

These aren't exterior shots but they are renderings of what the rooms will look like.

Is the tax rate really going to be 18%?LCDSI wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 8:26 pm These aren't exterior shots but they are renderings of what the rooms will look like.

Regardless, this hotel is certainly turning out nicely. I am glad that Loews replaced Hyatt

10.6 base rate + 7.5% additional for hotel rooms.

Re: OFFICIAL - Loews Convention Hotel (formerly Hyatt)
You should and it should change throughout the year
glass changes shape as it heats and cools. It’s better than cracking.
Air across the surface will change how light passes to you
It’s not made 100% flat to begin with
There’s a reflective coating that’s not going to be perfectly applied on every piece
It’s going to be multi layered so you get reflections back from within the pane
The color isn’t going to be absolutely perfect, even a slight tint variant across a piece will change the look
It’s not in 100% evenly installed, even a 64th of an inch difference changes what you see just slightly
Your angle to each pane is different from all the others so you’re seeing a slightly different view
And then on top of all of that, a camera lens can make things appear bulged in or out. A wide angle expands, a telephoto compresses

Thanks, flying ember. I was just riffing off the alarm at the windows in One Light a couple of years past. But your input is always welcome. b'y the way, are you Kevin Carlisle? I sense a similar tone between you and he who posts on the Star.

It's hard to tell between a joke and not sometimes.
Windows are one of those subjects where the technical details all but require an expert in the subject. I know enough to know I shouldn't have an issue with what they pick.
I use the same account name everywhere with only one variant going back to ~1996 and I've had my email account since something like 2000 or 2001. It's easy enough to figure out who I am if someone cared.

Coming out the north entrance of Kauffman Center the meeting/parking structure is massive. Almost like a hulking modern sibling of Municipal Auditorium. It really is too bad that Kaufman Center faces south not north.
