‘Gov. Greitens has to go’: As lawmakers react, House will launch investigation
http://www.kansascity.com/news/politics ... 55974.html...
Walker, an early Greitens supporter, called for him to resign in the days after the allegations surfaced. He renewed those calls Thursday when asked whether the House should pursue impeachment.
“I called for him to step down three weeks ago because I thought this was going to happen. … My understanding was he was led off in handcuffs and that’s not a good sign for our executive of the state of Missouri,” Walker said. “He should resign.”
Rep. Kevin Corlew, a Kansas City Republican, joined the growing chorus of GOP lawmakers who want the governor to step down Thursday evening.
“In the wake of the grand jury criminal indictment, and with legal proceedings to come, I cannot see how he could effectively perform the duties of his office, let alone to lead with the kind of moral authority needed to make a positive impact,” Corlew said in a Facebook post. “For the good of our state and the ideals we stand for, I believe that Governor Geitens should resign.”
Sen. Caleb Rowden, a Columbia Republican, said on Twitter that he was “disgusted to learn” that the grand jury found sufficient evidence to indict the governor and called on resign immediately for “sake of our state.”

Why is no one saying "Rape". Every news report is saying things like "forced non-consensual sex" and "Unwilling sexual encounter". It's Rape. He is being accused of rape.

Is this a different story (and woman) than the story around the illicit photographs he allegedly used to blackmail a woman to keep her quiet?shinatoo wrote:Why is no one saying "Rape". At one time Greitens dreams were to run for President. No matter the outcome of troubles now I would imagine those dreams are no longer.

So he maybe took some pictures, did some rapey things, possibly blackmailed a woman and also could have engaged in felony tampering to solicit campaign donations. Sounds downright presidential to me.

Absolutely, I'm sure Trump is wondering why he didn't think of political advertisements like these.mean wrote:So he maybe took some pictures, did some rapey things, possibly blackmailed a woman and also could have engaged in felony tampering to solicit campaign donations. Re: Politics
If you were to ask Trump, I imagine he would tell you that he not only thought to run political ads like those, but that he did run them and they were tremendous, they were the best ads; believe me, nobody knew you could have ads that good. People are saying that those brilliant ads helped swing the election and not only that--did you hear about North Korea? We're making unbelievable progress with North Korea. It's unbelievable, that I can tell you. We're making progress that Crooked Hillary never would have made. We'd be in a war by now if she had won! A nuclear war! Could you believe it? Nuclear war! Do you know how powerful nuclear is? My uncle, very smart man, good genes, very good, he was an engineer and professor, did you know that? He told me all about the nuclear, unbelievable power--unbelievable destruction. It's true! You know, like, let me tell you something: if I was a liberal, the New York Times would say I'm the smartest man in the world. They would. But because I'm a republican they really do a number on me, that's why I'm always bringing up the Wharton School and how I was a good student, built a fortune from nothing. I have to show my credentials all the time. But you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me--it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are (nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power, and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right--who would have thought?), but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners--now it used to be three, now it’s four--but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years to figure out how much those amazing ads contributed to my election victory and record-setting inauguration attendance.

To be honest, the guy sounds worse than a creep, more like a borderline psychopath: http://www.stltoday.com/phone-call-betw ... ea9ef.htmlFangKC wrote:And then there is this:Highlander wrote:Absolutely, I'm sure Trump is wondering why he didn't think of political advertisements like these.mean wrote:So he maybe took some pictures, did some rapey things, possibly blackmailed a woman and also could have engaged in felony tampering to solicit campaign donations. Re: Politics
Greitens seems like the kind of guy that people support based on the limited, projected image, but if they spent an hour with him alone just talking, would walk away hating him.

Re: Politics
That's a function of extreme partisan politics. My memory may not be that great when it comes to politics but it seems like that is a relatively recent phenomena. A Trump or Greitens 30 year years ago would have almost no support.grovester wrote:35% of Americans will support whoever is on their team. It's all about "winning".
