4315-4323 Belleview?
I drive by here everyday and noticed that this block of apt/old houses are all boarded up. I appears demolition is on the books per Kiva. They are all owned by Price Brothers. Does anyone know what they are doing?

If it is Price Bros, they will probably tear it down without a plan and let it sit as a vacant lot for years.

Hopefully there's a plan. That whole block should be leveled and redeveloped as something more dense.

Those old houses looked real bad. I hope they do something nice in there with nice landscaping. Every time I go out to Oak Park Mall I love all the trees and flowers they have planted. I think that would really spruce up that area.

Excuse me? Yes, I moved here about 6 months ago so I am new in that sense. I go down to the Plaza a lot to go shopping and I have been by that area many times. I notice things like that and thought those houses was in very bad shape and frankly I think that bank is not very nice looking either.
I am not a troll. What if I think your a troll for some of your posts? I think this is a good example of an old boys club you all do not like women and you do not like new people coming in here. You can't stand anybody having a opinion different from yours.

It would be smart if someone mentioned to the city's housing task force that allowing housing to be torn down with no replacement is not helping the situation.

Some of those old houses look dangerous so maybe it is best to tear them down before some kids get hurt or something.

Large mixed-use down the block and across the street going to PIEA for blight designation and future tax abatements:

This is a development for the west side of Belleview (Blue circle). The houses being torn down are on the east side (Red circle).alejandro46 wrote:Large mixed-use down the block going to PIEA for blight designation and future tax abatement's:

Let the kids roam free and they might get hurt, but every time I lock mine up Social Services makes me let em go again.

The development, currently known as "Midtown Crossing," would revamp an entire city block of Belleview Avenue with 138 apartments, a parking garage and more than 3,300 square feet of commercial retail space "designed to meet the needs, wants and desires of the millennial generation renters," according to George Birt, a development consultant on the project.
