No problem. I was down there for a kids event, but luckily my son enjoyed "urban exploring" more than anything. I wish I had time for more pictures, the hotel at 16th & Baltimore is really starting to grow.

There's a website for that! Head over to 16baltimore.com where there are two live webcams for the hotel project. I've been watching it for quite some time now and it looks like they're up to the fifth floor above Baltimore. The cams aren't the best but they give you a very good idea of how far along the project is...plus you can just watch the city if you want.joshmv wrote:No problem. Thanks. The cams are great, it's a shame they aren't positioned a little better to see the project but very cool either way.JLowe2018 wrote:There's a website for that! i don't think those webcams were intended just for this project, i may be wrong. I agree though, they are nice for people who are unable to see the construction in person. They are also positioned well for the convention hotel construction once that begins

They were put up a year before the convention hotel was announced.archiKC wrote:i don't think those webcams were intended just for this project, i may be wrong. Yep it is, they are working on it right now. It's down to about the building height already.DaveKCMO wrote:the crane is coming down, per their twitter feed.

I find this to be an exciting moment, but I do understand what you mean. It would be nice to have more cranes up in the skyline.DaveKCMO wrote:the crane is coming down, per their twitter feed.

That's probably never going to begin.flyingember wrote:They were put up a year before the convention hotel was announced.archiKC wrote:i don't think those webcams were intended just for this project, i may be wrong. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess he is saying that the convention hotel construction will never begin. Tough to tell for sure though as it's rather vague.flyingember wrote:placing the cameras better is probably never going to begin?bhedges1987 wrote:That's probably never going to begin.flyingember wrote:They were put up a year before the convention hotel was announced.

Here's a picture I took a couple months ago and forgot to post. Thought some people may still like to see it!

the crane is down to roughly 10 stories up and from Us 71 it looked like they had a truck crane taking it apart

Back in KC for a few days so first look at One Light---looks great against the skyline. The all glass looks especially good. I've noticed most new high rise apts in Dallas are mostly stone, some glass. Is that combo cheaper? Have to say the sleek glass look of One Light looks much better

I had a chance to walk the pool deck and tour a model unit on the NW corner of the 4th floor/pool deck. All I can say is these are really nice! The pool deck is well done and the apartments on the pool deck are really great especially since the ceilings are higher on this floor and the pool side apartments have HUGE patio spaces.
