Haha, he means other dreams are becoming reality silly. Like the streetcar for example. Downtown entertainment district years ago. Urban Core becoming the most premier place to live. The Royals becoming competitive .
People have been dreaming all of the time. With regards to downtown when Bartle Hall was built and with its various expansions there were dreams. The Vista Hotel was a dream. Mark I and Mark II were dreams. 12 Wyandotte Building was part of a big dream. AT&T Building was a dream. Durwood's original Power & Light concept was a dream. The problems that happened that stopped the dreams would be tied to various reasons. Bankruptcy. Economy. Tax law changes. Government break up of company. Trouble wit the law. Just plain old execution.

I feel like this is either folk song lyrics, a poem, or a rap. Definitely an Akp rap.

Well that's all true. What's your point though? The world can always use more dreams. With dreams comes inspiration. With inspiration comes execution. So I'm just setting the course my friend.
downtown detroit has two massive casinos, they've done very little to impact overall streetlife and vitality with the exception of maybe a block in greektown. perhaps we could speculate as to how much worse downtown detroit would be without them, i'd rather not.

I'm intrigued, which one do you mean?
there's at least four current/former AT&T buildings just inside the loop.
KC was considered for a regional office before it went somewhere else. Back in the mid 90's, IIRC.
probably Dallas. nearly everything for traffic in KC goes through Dallas. for that kind of entity you don't stick the office and the major network spot in different cities.
