Andy Williams singing "the Most Wonderful Time of Year" I suspect he has been dead for years and an animatronic figure was an easy replacement in his show.

That lawyer in the mornings during the channel 5 news. ?We make them pay? He would be the last guy I ever call. I?m amazed I can?t remember his name, it?s on so much.
I'll have what the gentleman on the floor is having.

Yes, that's it. I'd be embarrassed if I was a lawyer every time that guy came on. He is just bad for the profession besides annoying.

In my case, I remember not to use them if I need that service. But I do remember them.

Yea, I really think that is a major strategy of radio advertising - be as annoying as possible. That's how you get the listener's attention.lock+load wrote: Obviously these ads are working as everyone remembers them.

But they only really "work" if they spur the person to use the product/service.lock+load wrote: Obviously these ads are working as everyone remembers them.

Re: Most annoying local advertisement
there used to be an awful cable spot for the "tire and hubcap store" or something like that. the final tagline was a guy in kooky hat that said "somebody stop the wheel!".
THAT was a classic.

Nobody mentions the 80s commercial for Wright Business School?
"Well, no, but I have a BRILLIANT personality!"
Is that thing still running? Seems like it was being ran well into the 2000s.

I still miss the radio spots for Quickies in Lawrence.
"Have you had a Quickie lately? It's time for a Quickie today!"
I never tried one of their burgers, but the ads always made me smile.

Right when Superior Hummer opened they had a commercial they soon pulled that said "If your going to pay for a Hummer make sure it's a Superior Hummer". That was pretty funny.

Maybe Shane Co should partner with an auto repair shop.skim82 wrote: Def has to be the Shane Co.
