One of these things is not like the other one...wtf?
I would almost go just to see Cheap Trick, but not at Sprint Center, and not with Poison and Def Leppard. I won't be paying arena rock prices to see two bands that were never all that good and one great band that hasn't aged well (in particular, Zander's voice).

Not me. But maybe, just maybe, I will be able to finally catch Styx and REO at Starlight. For the last 6 to 8 years when these guys have been in town there have always been a conflict (I thought long and hard about not going to my daughter's wedding since they were in town that night). And hopefully Chicago will make it soon and will be able to go. Had conflicts with their dates in the past also.
I may be right. I may be wrong. But there is a lot of gray area in-between.
I would sooner punch my own balls out through my throat, personally.

Don't know if that is true or not - but I suspect that concert and event promoters are probably dialing down their plans nationwide this summer.
Seems like a lot of older bands are touring now. I'm just wondering if they are trying to make up for losses they took when their investments went south when the stock market crashed.

A guy I work with just paid $140 for a lower level Def Leppard ticket for his wife. So, I assume this will defnitely help with any financial issues they may have.
If it doesn't have street-level retail, it's an abortion.

I also think the older bands appeal to a demographic that has a bit more disposable income.

Yeah. I caught the ad on the radio. Not a big fan of EW&F but what the heck. Chicago should be by themselves. They could play for a solid three hours and I would enjoy every minute of it.
Now all I have to do now is make sure there is no conflict.

Caught a concert on TV with the two groups a while back. EW&F played, then Chicago and then they jammed together for a while. Pretty entertaining to watch. Agree though that Chicago on their own would be enough of a draw to get me there.
Sprint Center is still doing a great job booking more touring events than other arenas, with about 17 tours booked to date. Typically Sprint and MSG/NYC have the most touring events booked - most other arenas have about 8-15 events booked at one time. Obviously a lack of anchor tenant means less events overall, so no reason to go there.
