Perhaps in a similar manner to a lobotomized asylum patient being "more interesting."GRID wrote: I think mgsports is one of the more interesting posters on the forum myself!

Re: Stores Closing Nationalwide
Shouldn't the title be "nationwide" instead of "nationalwide"?
I may be right. I may be wrong. But there is a lot of gray area in-between.

Re: Stores Closing Nationalwide
this article is inaccurate, misleading and quite frankly damaging to the economy. Talbots and Movie Gallery both made official statements that they're not planning to close any stores at this time. It's a poorly researched article. You shouldn't believe everything you receive in your mailbox.
Harolds stores are liquidating; stores are primarily in TX, OK, and AR and KC area.
Mervyn's stores out west are liquidating.
Also liquidating are Steve and Barry's:

Will be interesting to see what is left in business after Christmas.

Hmmm 99.9% of every VIABLE business is still around.
Circuit City, S&Bs, Mervyns were in trouble a long time before the economic shakedown. Trimming the fat for sure...

For Eddie Bauer, I have seen a letter from the CEO, that it is normal business if your look at each year the past few years that Eddie Bauer close and open stores every year.

Re: Stores Closing Nationalwide
Eddie Bauer brand was turned into complete crap in the last 15 years. The reputation used to be like a more fashionable LL Bean type and now they're its cheap EB gear and backpacks at Target. I can see how they survive in through licensing and online, but does anyone shop their stores anymore? I would close 90% of the stores in malls and strategize on flagship stores in bigger cities.kanasalumn wrote: For Eddie Bauer, I have seen a letter from the CEO, that it is normal business if your look at each year the past few years that Eddie Bauer close and open stores every year.
