Damn, y'all, this is embarrassing.  Wish I'd been putting real money on these games.

Anyone suprrised that Alabama is laying 12 vs. Florida?  That has to be some sort of record, for points giving up by a #1 team in the country.

Where you finding 12?  Highest I can find is 10...which is still a crazy amount for a #1 seed like you said.

ESPN radio said 16 for OU-MU, 12 for ALA.  If it's 10, that is still high for a #1 team.  And I wonder if that's a record, esp for one who's undefeated in November.

I'm pretty sure Mizzou was a 4-6 point underdog in last year's Big 12 Championship, no 10 but usually #1 teams aren't underdogs at all.

Actually I think OU was only a 1.5 point fav last year in the title game.

If Alabama covers a 10 point spread against Florida and goes to the NC in Saban's second he has got to be considered one of the best college football coaches ever.  Before Saban got their Alabama was a terrible and getting punked by in state rival Auburn every year.  My how things have changed.

Bama is the kind of job where if you get the right guy...it doesn't take long. Much like USC, Florida, LSU, Notre Dame

Saban is an incredible college coach.  He's a guy who always gets 'max effort' out of his rosters, not unlike a certain large man coaching a local school.    Ferentz, Belotti, and even Gary Barnett & Barry Alvarez back in the day have a way of motivating guys and making them play wayyyy over their talent.

Other guys look crappy when the talent is taken away from them:  Spurrier, Lloyd Carr, and a certain large man coaching a once-proud power in South Bend, IN.

Yes they are...and not for someone that will get them to the Cotton Bowl.
