Had an aunt who died of cancer who told my dad on her death bed that she would never see him again because they would be on different levels of heaven because he wasn't Mormon and they would never see each other again. Also, none of the family could attend her wedding because only the 'holy' were allowed in the temple. Great religion!
After not being allowed at the wedding why would he be by her side when she is about to kick the bucket?
Did some public records searching. Looks like the Mormon church owns the land at the southeast corner of I-435 / MO-152. The highlighted area depicts the land listed as owned by the church. I'm guessing it will be there.
If so...why would LDS mormons have any part of even wanting to be in Independence?
What's graciously given to KC, is strong for the region as a whole. Passion and benevolence will one day exeem towards all whom know true adoration. We shall triumph to better the community as One within THINK (ONE) KC.
The Mormons / LDS are the developers of the Shoal Creek Valley. Both churches (LDS & RLDS) think this area is the holy land goes back to Joseph Smith which was before the split in the church.

Not just holy land but the bible's Garden of Eden.

Actually, they believe it was about 60 miles northeast of downtown KC.
"Latter-day Saints know, through modern revelation, that the Garden of Eden was on the North American continent and that Adam and Eve began their conquest of the earth in the upper part of what is now the state of Missouri. It seems very probable that the children of our first earthly parents moved down along the fertile, pleasant lands of the Mississippi valley." (John A. Widtsoe, Evidences and Reconciliations, three volumes in one, Salt Lake City: Bookcraft 1960, p. 127)
Do not refer to the Independence headquartered church people as Mormons or RLDS anymore. They will promptly correct you as now they want only to be known as the Coummunity of Christ.

yeah, and next the Scientologists are going to want to be called "the Love Team". First rule of cult identification: Changes their name to ambiguous flowery title to avoid a negative stereotype.
And I am sure they would call you a few choice things too. Like damned to hell. Why not be sensitive to others? And nice and polite to even those you do not care for? Or are you can McPalinista?

Political Correctness to the extreme. Another thing about Liberalism I don't espouse.
