Question about Forum
I have been a member of this fourum for a little while now and I can not figure out what two things mean on the Avitar side. I already know what the first is. which is the user name. but then there is a star or a bunch of stars and in the stars there are different colors. What do they mean? also there is a position moniker ranging from surface lot on up. What do these mean and how do you go from one to the other?

Re: Question about Fourum
#1. I don't know if you wanted to post this in the "Development Q&A" section. This section is used for asking questions about development in KC, not really to ask questions about the forum. "Forum Announcements & Suggestions" is probably the place where you would have wanted to post this topic. However, I've been a member of this forum for a long time and sometimes I still am not sure where to post various topics. So, don't worry about it! We're still cool! 8)anniewarbucks wrote: I have been a member of this fourum for a little while now and I can not figure out what two things mean on the Avitar side. #2. Now, to answer your question about the stars: I'm not an expert, so maybe one of the Moderators can explain it better than I can but: I believe the stars are linked to how many posts you have. For example, someone with a lot of posts would have a lot of stars. KCPowercat has different stars than everyone else because he has the most posts and/or because he is the site administrator.
#3. The only way to stop being a "Surface Lot" is to keep posting. You need 50 posts, then you become a "Pad site." The "position rankings" (and the number of posts you need to get one) are as follows:
Surface Lot 0 - 49 posts
Pad site 50 - 99 posts
Strip mall 100 - 299 posts
New York Life building 300 - 499 posts
Western Auto building 500 - 699 posts
Colonnade 700 - 999 posts
Alameda Tower 1,000 - 1,499 posts
Valencia Place 1,500 - 1,999 posts
Penntower 2,000 - 2,499 posts
Broadway Square 2,500 - 2,999 posts
President Hotel 3,000 - 3,499 posts
Bryant Building 3,500 - 4,499 posts
Oak Tower 4,500 - 5,999 posts
909 Walnut 6,000 - 7,999 posts
Mark Twain Tower 8,000 - 9,999 posts
City Center Square 10,000 - 14,999 posts
City Hall 15,000 - 19,999 posts
Power & Light 20,000 - 24,999 posts
One KC Place 25,000+ posts

Re: Question about Fourum
the only problem with that list is that apparently either kcpowercat or bahua was guzzling the bong when he wrote that list because City Center Square is listed twice. it should say Oak Tower for the first one.

D'oh! Sorry. That was a typo. It's suppose to be "2,000 - 2,499 posts" as Penntower. It's fixed now.lock&load wrote: So what are you between 2,300 and 2,499 posts?

Also, those numbers are wrong. Only the admins have access to them, and you'll never know, until someone gets all the posts.

I thought it seemed odd that Transamerica/Town Pavillion was omitted.bahua wrote: Also, those numbers are wrong. Only the admins have access to them, and you'll never know, until someone gets all the posts.

Re: Question about Fourum
You need to place parking garage in the list, AllThingsKC. Wat is going to be above one KC place when the members get to that point?
