1/2 Price Books Coming To Westport

Discuss items in the urban core outside of Downtown as described above. Everything in the core including the east side (18th & Vine area), Northeast, Plaza, Westport, Brookside, Valentine, Waldo, 39th street, & the entire midtown area.

1/2 Price Books Coming To Westport

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet...

In the Cityscape column in today's Star they mentioned that the Half Price Books chain is moving into the spot where the Alps grocery store used to be ( in the Old Westport shopping center ) . I think they said March was when it was gonna open.

I'm very happy about this move - yeah, it's a chain...but it's a good one. And the neighborhood could use a good used bookstore.

Good news. It's a good chain, and it's good to see them finally coming to the metro area.
