NE Corner of North Platte Purchase Rd and MO-152
I've been driving the MO-152 corridor everyday to work for the past week and noticed this morning they're clearing a bunch of land on the NE corner of MO-152 and North Platte Purchase Rd. It's on the northside of 152 between Platte Purchase and 169. Anyone know?

i could be wrong but i think it's just more remaxx realty development. my uncle who is the remaxx broker in platte city has been trying to buy that land for a while now and i think that sounds EXACTLY where he and a partner were going to start developing.

Is it an office for Remax or is it being developed by Remax for other purposes?

It was only a matter of time before that land got developed. 152 is already filling in.

They just can't wait until land south of 152, or even south of Barry Road, is filled up before building right out at the end of the city limits. Classic leapfrog development sprawl.KCNorthlander wrote:It was only a matter of time before that land got developed. 152 is already filling in.

I don't blame them for this development since it's along a major thoroughfare. The question is, where do you go when 152 is filled up? Do you build smart and start filling in the gaps to your south or do you keep sprawling out toward the airport?

It doesn't have to happen so soon, the city isn't required to rezone the area. MO-152 was supposed to be a reliever for the inadequate the east-west arterial roads the in the Northland, but it will soon be congested even though it's a brand new highway.
