I think it's a great idea. They wanted to put this at the OP arboretum about 4 or 5 years ago. Or maybe it was the Deanna Rose farmstead. One of those places out there. The county wouldn't give up any public land.

Whatever happened to the Native-American Cultural Center proposed for Johnson County? I've seen renderings of that place, looked pretty cool. I guess snobby JOCO figured they'd rather have rich Asian tourists instead of a bunch of HUD housing Indian drunkards.

If they have a formal Japanese garden that is thirty acres, that would be twice the size of the famous one in St. Louis. It would be almost as big as the worlds largest in Kyoto.
It takes years though for the landscape to mature to the level of either of those places.
A Native American museum would be great for this area. I wonder what failed? I wonder where you could find out some information on it.
