I'd love the chance to fly JetBlue. Their new Mint Studio and Mint Suite product for transatlantic flights looks very appealing. Not that I can afford to fly even JetBlue economy to London anytime soon, but it's fun to dream.

KC is well positioned to be an A220 focus city for JetBlue or Breeze. Less so for Delta due to their Detroit and Minneapolis hubs

Is breeze still happening? They went quiet at the beginning of the pandemic.

That’s great news, they have what looks to be a sound model being forged, and with new aircraft and a market getting ready to rebound, I’m sure they’ll do quite well

I'm looking forward to the A220 as well. I flew AirTran a lot on their 717s and appreciated the 2-3 layout. Not to mention that the A220, from all reviews, seems like one of the nicest new planes flying today.

AA bringing back LGA. Starts Sept 8.

Seemed like a weird route to drop it when they did in the first place.

This route is a codeshare with B6 right? I wonder if B6 will take over when the new terminal opens.

Sounds like it will not be included in the codeshare. I’m not sure how they are deciding what is and isn’t.

Twice daily in each direction.

Hmm, was their previous lga flight also an e75? It’s been so long I can’t remember.

Anyway, two is better than zero. That 11:20 flight will actually be convenient for me occasionally. Hopefully don’t have to grab the 6:30am one often. 🙈

March (11th is when the schedule changes) is looking like a decent uptick on Southwest.

Was 25 flights a day in Jan/Feb

Going to 36 flights a day on Friday, 42 Saturday, 39 Sunday

DC, Fort Lauderdale and New Orleans come back on the schedule (New Orleans is Saturday only)

Destinations currently scheduled to come back for Southwest. Anything May or later is still subject to change.
April - San Deigo, Pensacola, Panama City (all Saturday only)
May- Austin, Portland, Milwaukee, LGA
Not on schedule - Indy, Charleston, Seattle, Raleigh, San Antonio, Minneapolis, Albuquerque.

Last month, STL had about as many daily SWA flights as KCI has total daily flights across all airlines.

in 1961, KC Municipal was the 28th busiest airport in the World. Today, Istanbul holds that spot. Fun to think what our service would have looked like if we had built KCI right.

It was build right

TWA was the primary airline, it was their overhaul base there. So it was designed they want they wanted it.

It didn't help their vision was the wrong one in hindsight.

plus side is we're building it right for the next 60 years. i doubt we'll have too much of a problem once its open, at least in helping airlines to take advantage of our geographical position.

And at one time SW was full speed ahead at making KC a focus city instead of StL. It's amazing how many opportunities KC has missed by dragging their feet on that airport so that people don't have to walk too far to the gates.

Lots of schedule adjustments this week. Allegiant flights to Punta Gorda were added to the schedule. Most of Southwest's changes are removing previously scheduled flights in April/MAY. Ft. Meyers is the only one being added to and will be almost doubling frequency.

This summer spirit airlines will launch new nonstop flights from Kansas City to Ft. Lauderdale (FLL), Ft. Myers (RSW), and Tampa (TPA). Service starts in June
