Very true.

The way to sell the election is it's using airport money to reinvigorate the airport so it's stronger financially.

The major issue is people that think it's funded with tax dollars. And we're seeing the city finally recognize this in their actions.

The airlines saying new is cheaper and putting the plan up to a reasonably visible a general competition shows the city is trying to get the best deal possible, even when that's what it was doing all along. The perception is better.

Ugh. People don't put a lot of trust in city leaders and this surely doesn't help. Feels like this process is getting muddied up just like the lead up to the last KCI election that was supposed to happen...

Which is a bit like saying Mommy and Daddy wouldn't have been fighting if they saw you sneak down the stairs at night. It's still an embarrassing end to a process that gives no hope that they care about picking the best solution.

Can't have a lawsuit over something if the city has aired all it's dirty laundry on the subject. I bet the groups against the airport have figured out the same connections.

Whether it was on purpose or not, before a selection is made is the right time.

So what do we make of all these conflicts of interest accusations? Do we think Burns & McDonnell wasn't picked and so they're trying to cloud the legitimacy of the process? I'm trying to understand some of the different motivations here since the airlines came out backing the B&M plan.
