lol what in the world does this even mean
The idea is most politicians have experience in politics, politics and politics. Look at Hawley working his way up the political ladder and doing nothing else.

Trump came out of the business background. The idea is that's supposed to make him different.

Perot was much the same idea as a candidate but he formed a party and didn't take over one that existed.
Yes I am well aware of all of that background, my point is really that "has personal experience in various aspects of life" is meaningless word salad that is true about literally every human on earth, except I guess maybe some children?, but thank you for stepping in to explain!

That at minimum, Trump has personal interactions, good and bad with POC where as many of the woke white women haven’t done anything besides listen to other white woke celebrities talk about racial injustices, let alone go out in the world and do something about it. It’s like this cult of cat loving women who think parading around with pussy hats and telling any man who engages politely in a debate with them they’re mansplaining. It’s like the people who say we can’t say “man up” anymore because it implies only men are can be tough. Most of them have no real world experience or interactions, they’re just as bad as Karens.

Maybe I’m on one because I hat cats so much! Sorry, I know my rants today aren’t up to your intellectual standards. Skip over them.

It's ironic that in an election that the GOP did remarkably well, it will now be remembered as a Dem sweep, all thanks to Trump's ego.

I for one am glad that Biden won't have to worry about cabinet picks or judge confirmations as I think covid, vaccinations and parts of the economy are going to be a real struggle.

Looks like DEMs have a pretty good shot to finalize both wins as most of the remaining count is absentee ballots in already strong blue counties, and absentees have favored DEMs. Of course GOP will demand as many recounts as they can get away with.

I’ve actually never been on Reddit. Just my observation from several years of engaging in political conversations on social media. Same parallels can be drawn about a certain faction of conservatives.

You’re forgetting there are a few democratic senators from very conservative states. Whoever thought Joe Manchin would be so pivotal. With such a narrow margin, the next two years will be fun to watch.

The senators you mention won't be an issue for the cabinet or for judges, they will have a strong effect on legislation.

Good point. I do see a few cabinet appointees being challenged but from members of both sides.

Maybe, but there are plenty of republicans who think presidents should be able to name their cabinet. Dems could even allow some defections.

Also, Biden's picks are pretty tame. Well except for Neera Tanden, who apparently made fun of republicans on twitter.

My supreme leader? Oh yeah, I'm the inaccurately assumed default Trump lover on here. The tiny, tiny, tiny amount of positive thoughts I have for Trump left have been vaporized by this and he needs to go down there in person and fix this shit.

It's adorable that you think anything will happen other than "butthurt smartphone warrior continues to be butthurt"; the best-case scenario is that he finally ragequits and sulks away to let everyone else clean up his final mess.

In any case, I assume that articles of impeachment will be drawn up the nanosecond Congress reconvenes.

I hope this is the final lessen for some folks who were hanging onto Trump. I didn't vote for him because I was worried about this exact situation, granted I was worried about violent protests by his haters if he did win. It's time to move on and let him go back to golfing and banging pornstars.

How is Steve Schmidt sounding now? Quite the Onion article now.

While his mini-fascist rabble storms the capitol on his orders and the Trump DOD will not to authorize national guard or make any effort to stop his people. You don't need me to tell you that Cruz, Hawley and the Sedition Caucus are complicit in this.

Steve Schmidt is calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked. George Conway is calling for immediate impeachment and removal of Trump.

Not a legal expert, but how would they go about this? What would be the reasoning?

Inciting a riot at the Capitol while Congress was in session certifying an election. Advocating and attempting to overturn an election by force. An act of sedition.

We don't know what is going to happen next. Will the protestors start setting the city of fire?

Seems that would be a stretch based off of his speech today where he basically said stay strong and remain peaceful. Not to mention, wouldn't that just further infuriate these idiots at the capital?
