Should I change my screen name? - (poll)

Post by Maitre D »

Hey all:

I've become really depressed recently over the lack of humor in my screen name.  This was something I came up with 4 years ago - a youthful indiscretion as it turned out.  It's ok but:

1) I no longer have anything to do with the city of PGH
2) I don't really care about the Royals any more
3) It's not that funny or smart-alecky

There are some really great names that crack me up:  Lock & Load....Butterbreath....SnakeGuy....AnnieWarbucks...Boo Radley...Mean...bbqboy.  I'm just depressed and frankly a bit jealous of all your originality and humor.

Signed,

go for it!

your name is too long and PittPA is no fun.

chrizow isn't fun or funny either, of course.  just a riff on my actual name.  (for the record, it's CRIH-zow (rhymes with cow) not chizz-ROH or chriz-OH).

Thanks.
and Yes, change it. You need a facelift. You're funnier than PPA would indicate.

What you really need to do is have a poll for what your new nick should be...and then stick to whatever we pick for you.

I didn't plan on posting more than a few times when I created mine.

People do always seem to get confused and think I still live in Lenexa.

I think that sounds like an interesting idea.

But can I give the 4 choices?  I don't want to leave that in the hand of, say, Cook.  Who comes up with 4 nasty names.

Of course, you would have to make the poll.

Also, you can't blame chef; it seems you can't come up with a nice name for your nemesis, either... [-X

I still never figured out what a paroyal was, and now it'll be extinct. Sad.

Yeah I think I will be too.  But not as sad as it is laughing at other screen names, then seeing my broken down, rusted-out, rim-less old Corvair huffing down the cyber street.

If I truly believe in free markets, I should let the market decide my name.  Right?

Obv. Bahua institued that on his own.  THat's not how democracy works, so it won't be around longer.  I'll be sending some names thru the primary process, then it will go to the General Election.

There, the people will decide.  (Unless the supreme court of Lenexa & Chriz orders a re-count)

I've always kind of imagined you looking like Jesse Jackson (and Thrskr (sp?) like Jim Morrison and Joemoney looking like John Stossel (which actually makes sense).  This will be kind of a weird change for you.  I do like the name, though.

Me too!  But I think he's white so that probably isn't too acurate.

Joe money def. strikes me as looking like Stossel....and being a whiny bitch like him too.

Wait a tick... how does one go about changing their forum ID? I've been wanting an upgrade for a while but assumed it was impossible.
