Recently heard reference to current style of 4-6 story stick built apartments over concrete parking podium called "stubs" and the similar but built around a multilevel garage is "Texas doughnut." Both becoming ubiquitous across the country, all alike but with varying cladding. Cheapest way to get most units per acre, mostly studios and one bedroom with 2 bedrooms almost always on corner units.
