Good enough for me.... I've been wrong before.

I though cleaver and cork was a cool idea.... But never could figure it out.

So how big is the C&C space? I've only been there when it was Makers Mark and it seemed kind of small for a marquee type establishment. The P&L District has always needed that high profile restaurant to bring people in from across the metro and this may be the closest thing to high profile on a national scale to go in there. Although I'm a fan of DDD, I've also read that Fieri-owned restaurants are overrated and not that great.

That's an understatement. Just the URL says it all.

He didn't own the restaurant, he licensed the name. It's possible this is the same.

I know it's not scientific and everyone has an opinion about Yelp, but a cursory search of his places in Philly, Baltimore and Mt. Pocono are not encouraging based on those reviews. Mostly getting about 2.5 or less out of 5.

His Vegas place actually does have decent ratings.

Woof.... Wonder how much of that is the odd hatred toward the guy himself?

rxlexi is finally getting a taco bar.

Guy Fieri Opening Roadhouse-Style Restaurant at KC Live! This Month

Food Network celebrity Guy Fieri’s new restaurant at the Power & Light District is scheduled to open Feb. 21, just in time to serve up tacos and cocktails to fans attending the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament in mid-March.

“Guy Fieri’s Dive & Taco Joint” is being designed to resemble an American roadhouse joint, according to a press release. It’s taking over the space formerly occupied by Cleaver & Cork near the KC Live! performance stage.

And slightly off topic but re: tacos, I STILL think a Mi Cocina would just kill it in/near P&L. Want Cordish to investigate...

This will be the most significant development in this city's history. I, for one, welcome our food overlord, and eagerly anticipate this new era of enlightenment.

I've never witnessed a Jos a bank with anybody in it. Not sure how any of them make it.

"Fuck I forgot my ..." or "fuck my son needs ..." has always been my concept of their business.

It's definitely another amenity gone. Now it's send people to Halls or the plaza.

A clothing store doesn't need to be busy, it needs to make sales. Someone walking in and buying a $3000 suit is far better than having people browsing all the time.

That's a bummer. I bought work clothes there just because it was close by and the constant sales make the prices right. It does strike me that got zero synergy from surrounding uses.
