If you look at One Light, Two Light and soon 3L, they always try to have the least amount of impact possible of the street closures. Others, like the convention hotel and W&R could care less at this point as they don't have customers coming down until construction is complete.
Excellent point.

Which is why we have ordinances and approve plans via the city processes and don't leave it up to business, at least in theory.

Issued on 01/31/2020 for Guaranteed Maximum Price and Permit sets.

On first glance, I think the building got 10 feet shorter but added 22 units.

Besides being basically the same, the 3 at the top looks more artsy. I mean seriously, it looks like the upper portion City of KC logo turned sideways. Maybe it’s been this way for some time but I like it.

How much taller is 3 Light compared to 2 Light (in floors and feet)?

Around 100' to peak. The new version of 3 Light cut ceiling heights in the penthouse units reducing 10' of building height.

The 3 sign looks a bit like the fountain on the city flag. Same overlapping pattern

Yeah. That's the point I was trying to make. I just call it the City logo, which is probably wrong. Maybe they designed the 3 on purpose to be this way.

That would be neat. Supposedly they're going to that at One Cardinal Way but I'm having my doubts. Building crowns that light up at night make skylines look better.

I am just pleased that the south facade is not entirely flat, and that the variety in the cladding gives some detail. The slanted shed peak is sort of a generic thing nowadays.

Liking the bump out on the NW side. Now that we see a 'W' in the support columns, I guess we can assume a W hotel (sarc)
