Just don't try to throw a frisbee up there. My wife chucked ours clear across the street last spring. Free frisbee if anyone has access to the roof of the KCP&L glass atrium at One KC PlaceMidtownkid wrote:I was eating lunch up there and saw that game, too! The ball came close to the edge once, but the planted edges were good at stopping the bounce.
Now a few days ago there was a baseball game up there and they did knock one off the edge. Not a good idea!!

Hopefully that parking lot will have this soon if local companies actually start stepping up and moving back downtown.

you cannot use a rendering to see how a building will look. remember all the one light renderings with blue windows and they're using clear glass?harbinger911 wrote:^ I can't see something that ugly being built in KC.
That thing would look hideous against our skyline, making it out of balance.
An outstanding building is needed for the east side of the skyline - but not that one it's for a much larger city where it won't stand out so much and/or port city with water.
The extra cost would be prohibitive for KC also.
KC needs to stick with classic lines and we need more clear blue or light green glass for balance.

Odds of local companies moving back down there are very slim. Especially since cerner and Sprint built campuses. Those are really are only two big companies with enough money to do something down there.GRID wrote:Hopefully that parking lot will have this soon if local companies actually start stepping up and moving back downtown.

Very excited to hear the Mayor says "there are buildings on the drawing board/unannounced that will make downtown very unique."

here's the official link to the project page for the remaining towers.
Not much up yet except the pictures we've seen before but I'm sure they'll add more once the remaining towers are announced.

Like the glass balcony railings. Nice visually, but might feel insecure while on balcony.

"ONE LIGHT" sounds like some sort of monotheistic mantra. People will think this is a religious compound for scientologists.

Re: Proposed apartment for 13th and Walnut - One Light
The flair they put on buildings sucks IMO...usually renderings have flair like cowgirls sitting on a truck that never make it final design...but not Cordish.
