Re: Three Light
I think the most underrated project are the 2 in the crossroads, marking the foray into the Crossroads. That’s where you’ll really gonna feel a dense block with that cap.

Re: Three Light
For the groundbreaking, being off the timeline because of opportunities to start is far from unique.
The streetcar downtown groundbreaking was May 22, 2014
The first track was already finished in ~Oct 2013 because modot was replacing the 670 bridge that fall.
So the groundbreaking was for the remaining work, not the actual start. No big deal.

Re: Three Light
Sorry I know this is probably a dumb question and off topics — but what are the two crossroads projects?!

Re: Three Light
I was walking around P&L other day and being away from KC for a while was nice to see P&L area aging nicely. It was a bit sterile at first as expected when doing many blocks at once but it has a really nice feel blended with the hirises. Capping loop and south loop additions should give a nice contiguous feel to Xroads. Foot traffic overall was higher than expected at 2PM.

Nice new perspectives.
Re: Three Light
it would be great if after three light someone posted a pre-power and light district photo and what it is today. kc still has a lot of work to do but dang it's come a long way.

You wouldn’t it’s come along at all if you listened to some people on these forums lol.
Re: Three Light
This makes me feel very old, but I'm guessing there are people that have been members here and on the predecessor longer than you've been alive.AlkaliAxel wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 5:36 pm You wouldn’t it’s come along at all if you listened to some people on these forums lol.
No one believes what you said, and a lot of people here were formative in making it happen.
Your generation needs to continue it. Good luck

Re: Three Light
Driving on the the entrenched South Loop with Two Light, Three Light and Waddell Reed on one side and the Loews Hotel on the other should have quite an urban canyon feel when completed. It will even be more pronounced when (and if) Cordish builds the proposed mixed use project on the south side of I-670. That is, until it is capped.
