because 720m is what it cost when they were built. over 25 years, that number goes up. just like, 575m is what it will cost to do this project in kc, but, adjusted over 25 years, it goes up.Burton wrote: Because I added up the costs from the sources I listed. I didn't see anything about them costing 1.6 billion anywhere. If you got a link, I'd be glad to change the original post.

Ok, I see what you're saying, but if you can lead me somewhere to where it says 1.6 billion, so I can change my original post so it doesnt contain any misleading or false information. Also, the rental car and hotel taxes, plus the casino revenues they did in Detroit are much more appealing to me than a 3/8 cent sales tax. Again, there are better and more efficient ways of getting this done.

Sorry... I work in JoCo. Maybe that's part of the cause of my angst, since I'm there now, while it's a charmingly perfect 70 degrees outside...StL_Dan wrote: EZ....I live in JoCo.

the only reason the 1 - 1.2b crap is coming out here in kc is the no side, which, is fine, but, if you look at ballparks.com, and other sites about ballpark construction in various cities, you will see they are all spread out over 25 years too, through various tax collection means, which, means, if you say kc's is that much over 25 years, then, theres are too, which, is all i am saying.Burton wrote: Ok, I see what you're saying, but if you can lead me somewhere to where it says 1.6 billion, so I can change my original post so it doesnt contain any misleading or false information. pretty much. i am not arguing that it will or will not cost x amount of dollars over 25 years, i think it is risky to say for sure it will cost this much, when, we are not sure, but, we all know it will balloon over that over 25 years, tough to say, financing is tricky, that is for sure.Burton wrote: Gotcha.

anyways, 4 more days and perhaps this is over. one thing you as a no vote supporter would have to admit, if it passes, at least this forum will return to more development talk. ( thank god )
