LOL. At this point, it's called evading. Do you expect someone else to build them a stadium?

Would love to see a real minor league team there, but I doubt that would ever happen.

Evicted because they are over $760,000 in debt for failing to pay rent and utilities. Why would another city spend tens of millions of dollars to build a new stadium if they aren't succeeding in a fairly new stadium? They should move to Topeka

We have been in close communication with the UG, keeping them apprised of our status as we work toward a sale of the club. Today’s timing is the real surprise, as we’ve shared publicly—and with the UG—that a sale will not be completed or announced during the season.”

It's telling this quote mentions nothing about paying the debt. He's either in denial (unlikely) or is trying to get people to focus on poor him, he hasn't found a buyer yet and let's just ignore our debt for now

And why couldn't or wouldn't they complete or announce a sale during the season? Just sounds like a bunch of excuses.

I was kind of hoping this meant the end of the T-bones. I never saw the point when we have a professional baseball team in the metro.

That's a metro of over 4 million people. The Royal's struggle (23rd in attendance in 2018, 27th thus far in 2019) and the Tbones are competition for the limited sports dollars in this small market. While it might not be much in the scheme of things, nearly 300,000 people per year attended Tbones games in the height of their franchise. I realize the tickets are cheaper for a T-Bones game but that's still competition that adversely impacts the Royals.

The T-Bones don't negatively impact the Royals.

The T-bone stadium is being renovated. The women’s soccer team was supposed to use it this season but have not been able to due to construction delays
