Where is the Chiefs talk?
2-0 and among the top of the NFL...where's everyone's Chiefs spirit? They've got 2 road games and the Donkeys coming up, so we'll see how they can hold up.
I am thinking of driving an hour down to Houston this Sunday to buy a couple of tickets from scalpers.

I have family in Houston so we're heading down for the game.....wonder if many chiefs fans will make it? Tickets might be tough since it's their home opener.

Have you bought your tickets yet? The game has sold out. I forgot about it being their home opener and waited too late to get my tickets.
I was at a sports bar in College Station watching the game last week and saw quite a few Chiefs fans...all were planning on going to Houston Sunday. Hopefully we'll have a decent crowd out there.

Where is the Chiefs talk?
I'm tired of Chiefs talk...that's all I hear on the news and radio. I'll talk about the Chiefs after we win another Super Bowl. Until then, I'll expect this city to suffer more heartbreaks in the playoffs.

Chiefs smack from someone who comes from a city with a three year football history (a history that is DEAD)- I don't know, Dan, just stick with the Olathe stuff and you will be fine!

The StL Rams have call St Louis home for almost a decade since arriving in 1995. The Gridbirds were in St Louis since 1960.
You can't shake my foundation.

well damn if we're going to bring up the time when there were 8 baseball teams, sure.....since I've been born, Royals 1 W.S., Cards 1 W.S.
You were talking playoff failures for the Chiefs, let's keep it that way.
Let's talk about the best baseball team ever, the Kansas City Monarchs then....

What does the number of teams have to do with anything other than the fact that the talent pool was even more concentrated and thus tougher to consistently win.KC wrote:well damn if we're going to bring up the time when there were 8 baseball teams, sure.....since I've been born, Royals 1 W.S., Cards 1 W.S.

The Cardinals teams that have won it all have defeated teams featuring Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Paul Molitor and Robin Yount. I don't quite see the insignificance of those accomplishments.
Having said that, I'll get back to discussing the Griefs.

Yes, the Cardinals were good until the 70's...there.

I was checking out this site for details about the Cardinal franchise, and as expected, their move to AZ proves my point that, until an owner like Bidwill that is only interested in owning an NFL team from a true business perspective is eliminated from the picture, that it will always be a disappointing franchise at best.
In 16 full seasons in AZ.....the Big Red has managed only ONE winning season....1998. Pathetic....absolutely pathetic.
See below:
1987## 7 8 0 .467 Gene Stallings
1988### 7 9 0 .438 Gene Stallings
1989 5 11 0 .313 Gene Stallings (e)
1990 5 11 0 .313 Joe Bugel
1991 4 12 0 .250 Joe Bugel
1992 4 12 0 .250 Joe Bugel
1993 7 9 0 .436 Joe Bugel
1994 8 8 0 .500 Buddy Ryan
1995 4 12 0 .250 Buddy Ryan
1996 7 9 0 .436 Vince Tobin
1997 4 12 0 .250 Vince Tobin
1998 9 7 0 .563 Vince Tobin
1999 6 10 0 .375 Vince Tobin
2000 3 13 0 .188 Vince Tobin (f)
2001 7 9 0 .436 Dave McGinnis
FYI....the Cards were decent in the 80's as well....they reached the playoffs 1982 and had a nice year in 1984 with a 9-7 record. Most folks will remember the likes of Neil Lomax, Terry Metcalf, Roy Green and Ottis Anderson from teams in that decade.
