Colorado

Do a trip report here....go to another city and want to relate it to what KC is doing right or could do better? Give us a summary in here.

We're on the train back to Durango from Silverton. I think we have stopped for water. And there is plenty of it.

Are these ski slopes? I dunno. Not a skier.

The scenery was so pretty.

This scene looks like a good subject for a painting.
Image

We are way up high on a trestle.
Image

The engine chugs along.
Image

A person could get squeamish.
Image

Getting close to a turn.
Image

Train smoke fogs up the picture.
Image

I guess I got carried away with the train. Literally. <smile>
Image

Raindrops on the window. Well, I like it.

Where did this lake come from?

These are the very last pictures from the trip to Colorado.

Two more shots from the train as we approach Durango.

Geese, playing golf.
Image

The sun did a nice paint job on these trees.
Image

It is the next day, 10/8/10, and we are en route to Albuquerque.
Image

Pretty butte. Learned how to fade out the bottom of the top image, bleeding into a larger version of itself.
Image

Another butte. I used a different oddball technique on this one.
Image

This is the very last picture I'm posting for this trip. It shows the Sandias in Albuquerque. Yeah, I forced a fake road at the bottom.
Actually, the sky is fake, too. I took the picture from inside the car, and the windshield wasn't kind. I did salvage the cloud. It's real.
I love Photoshop.

I'll start a series for another trip with six pictures so I'll have twelve for the week. Give me a few days...
