We have left Niagara Falls and it is a new day (8/2/08). We are driving along the coast of Lake Ontario, on the New York State Seaway Trail. We stopped by a park along the way.

The geese did not want me to get close to them. They made for the lake, knowing I would not follow them too far.

Tiny beauty.

These next three pictures were taken at a boat harbor in a town called Pultneyville. I'm always attracted to flowers.

This house looks haunted, but it's probably not.

The house above probably had beautifully kept landscaping in its day, but all the plants, trees, and flowers have been left to their own devices. I kind of like the floral potpourri.

Thank you, Ira! I had no idea what those things were. I thought they looked like tomatoes. Because you so kindly identified them, I Googled "rose hips" (web and images) and learned that they are indeed edible. They are--or were--used to make all kinds of things. Now if somebody asks me what they are, I can tell them!
