Sudden road trip

Post by KCKev »

A last minute road trip has poped up from me. I'll be the second driver on a trip from Tucson to Champaign Il.
A good friend's father passed away and we are renting a car and going up to settle the estate.

His father and he where advide fly fisherman, we are getting all the fishing stuff for sure and battling the Step Mother for whatever else.

Anyway, on the trip there we are non stop truckin down the road. We plan to video document the trip as we both are video freaks.

Here's the trip

Southern route looks the best for taping!

We might hit KC on the return trip, so I'll be checking everyones twitter and see about hooking up with some of you Forumers.
nothing set in stone, but I'll post trip progress here.

Leaving in about 3 hours! Watch out world, Kev Cam's coming  :P

Remember to brush your teeth and wear clean underwear in case you get into an accident!  And while you are at it, don't get into an accident.  Stay safe!  And buy me something each state you're travel through.  I'll give you bonus points if you manage to fine anything "cool" in Kansas.  (I'm just kidding, Kansas lovers!  :P )

I like the side-view picture of Dan in the boat. Nice scene. Pretty lake.

Looks like you guys had an awesome road trip, despite the speeding ticket in Oklahoma.

Thanks for thinking of me in Illinois!

Funny, there's a cross very similar to the one in Illinois in Texas (actually the first pictures you took look like the one in TX and the second pictures look like the one in Illinois) I-40 near Amarillo that you had to of seen that also fancies itself as being the Largest Cross in North America. I just made the LA to St. Louis run last week most of the route you took...mixed feelings about that way what with all the Route 66 BS but Arizona west of Flagstaff at sunset?  =P~ Made out good at a Casino in Arizona, though. It sucked when the car got stuck in the desert and we then had a blowout all near NEEDLES, CA (HELLFIRE).

You are correct about the Texas cross. I reviewed my time stamp on the pictures and the first cross in my post was indeed in Texas. I was shocked when on the the return trip the cross was in Ill. really confused me as it was dark and didn't see it on the trip there.
