This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for: The last set of pictures for this trip! I went back to dig up three of them because I wanted twelve pictures, as usual, instead of just nine. Here goes nothin’:
It would be nice if there were a few sheep, but there weren’t any there.
I really like the colors in this shot.
Always-happy sunflowers.
They were trying to hide from me.
A true wallflower. Maybe a fence-flower.
I zeroed in on this one little group.
My son is holding a credit card next to his iPhone so its camera sensors will properly capture a hot-pink flower.
Another view of the grassy field.
That thing must have been impressive when it was alive.
This is a close-up of a mass of lichens on a big rock. I had to do something to make them less ugly.
Apparently, these septarian things can be quite beautiful. Smaller specimens are sometimes polished.
Many fossils can be found in this piece.
This fossil is signing off!

Minnesota 2015 Part 8
Re: Minnesota 2015 Part 8
KCRAG should host a photographer meetup downtown.
Re: Minnesota 2015 Part 8
Now, that's an interesting thought. One problem for me is that I'm not a real photographer. Yes, I do take a lot of pictures--or used to, but I don't really know much about cameras or associated equipment. I pretty much just point and shoot. My Nikon camera is smarter than I am. I'm fairly handy with Photoshop but not expert. I was a computer programmer, systems analyst and project manager in an earlier life. And best artist in high school. I am nothing now.
